I built this tuba. Ask me any questions or give it a try.

I looked. What is the beginning price? Interesting combination of parts. How does it play? Easy/difficult to play in tune?

The price is a tricky question. I am not looking to make a bunch of money, or lose a bunch. I just thought it would be a fun thing to put together. If someone were to offer me what a used G50 goes for, I would not take it without handing back a significant amount.
It actually looks a bit better than the photos. I have done a little cleaning up on it.
I am not a master craftsman or artist, as you can see, but just wanted to see if I could make a decent CC from a Grand Rapids & king parts I had.
It plays better than the Grand Rapids did, more open and a bit brighter, perhaps because it is in CC. I think it would benefit from more weight at the bell rim, like my frankenyork BBb to mellow out the sound a little. That might just be my preference, however.
Intonation seems to be pretty good. My tuner doesn't complain much at all. A better player than I tried it & sounded really great to me. Being pretty unique, it is probably one to try first.

I am also selling a Kaiser tuba. I put it in the same listing. There is a short video on Youtube I made with a cellphone to show the general playability.
