Looks like the auction will be ending soon. We looked at taking the train to come over and see the horn, from Concord NC to Lake Charles LA would cost more than the tuba. Any chance you will be traveling east and we could meet part way? Have you looked into the cost of shipping? Some people like Greyhound and others put it on wooden palette then shrink wrap it and ship by freight. Need to know the measurement from the bottom of the tuba, bow to the mouth piece. I like to set the tuba on my thigh without any pillows. How does the tuba sound? Some made in China tubas that I have purchased in the past sound horrible, too sharp and not mellow. I think the quality and consistency of the metal is the key to a warm mellow sound.
