C/Bb Euphonium

Does anyone have any experience with these? Is it a copy of anything? How is the sound and intonation?

That looks like the Jinbao tenor tuba I used to have. I only had the Bb slide and it didn't not play very well in tune for me. I have heard that these are only really useable with the C slide in.

According to the auction this thing ships directly from China. It may cost you a few bucks more but you can cut your loss in case it's a piece of crap and buy it from someone on this forum who accepts returns.

Well it looks pretty. I suspect it will look best on the wall rather than on your lap.

These are actually made by Hueshen, not Jinbao. Wessex does have one left sitting in our store anyone can have for $350 plus $60 shipping if you want. Plays better in C than Bb, but I can't really recommend due to its 'difficult' intonation

Mine was stamped Jinbao on the bell and JBB-350 was the model. But, even if this is one made by Hueshen, it seems like it has the same problems as the one I had.

As far as I know the Jinbao made ones are only in Bb, while those with additional C slide like the one advertised are from Huashen. I have never tried the Jinbao version, but sounds like it does not play any better
Both are clones of a Dalian design
For those that want a rotary valve euphonium, I have always tried to point them towards the curved bell Kaiser baritone- a much better playing horn.

I don't think the proportions look right to be a Cerveny copy.
A lot more similar to the Miraphone C56A
