This little tuba is surprisingly fun. It has a really nice sound for such a compact tuba. Focused similarly, but bigger than the 105 Yamaha. Here is a cell phone recording:

To make up the difference in pitch with the bell swap, I used a King and Conn parts. The smaller side goes into the larger bore King crook, which goes into the slightly larger yet Conn crook, so the bore progresses through the extension (although they are close enough, it could be a moot point - who knows?). Next, I put a king thumb ring on where the (my) left hand naturally rests.

14.2 pounds, by my scale.

Price has been lowered. The valves & slides on this are really nice. The shorter, throatier bell gives it a lot of punch.
