At one time (maybe still?) Ebay more or less officially advised sellers that raising the price of an unsold item can help it sell. Beats me why it works.edsel585960 wrote:He actualy raised the price to $50.50. Good luck with that.
It doesn't always, of course, especially in the fairly small circle of tuba gear buyers. Once I noticed a magic tuba for sale for twice what any informed buyer would consider paying. It sat unsold for months, maybe years. The seller's solution was to raise the price by a thousand dollars. I don't know if it ever sold, but I can certainly guess.
