Probably not real old - I mean, maybe slightly under 50? I think I'm looking at the big Reynolds, with Olds' name on it (and no 1st valve spring, like Dan's and TheGoyWonder's Reynolds.) Who knows if we'll ever get the straight story on what was going on between those two after the mid-'60s, but it would have been in that era, true? I don't recall ever seeing Olds silver plate their own O-99. Nice price, especially if you like the stand.

That paneling and that tuba just scream Wisconsin polka band to me.

Mine has a serial corresponding to 1968 Olds, but probably really a stripper Reynolds from the same Abilene plant. You can tell some braces that are round (Olds like) were Reynonds (hexagonal) with the corners cut off!

Very good in a lot of ways - intonation and focus, fast response, very efficient, both clarity and low end in the tone.
But very heavy and can get bright quickly...maybe a candidate for a tuba stand and a bucket mouthpiece.
