I did that about 5 years ago with an Old Orsi baritone sax. It was hung up inside of a guitar shop, and I picked itnup for $100. Beautiful horn, but had holes drilled through the neck and upper body.the elephant wrote:Not even for parts...
Back in the middle 1990s I tried very hard to restore a tuba from a local barbecue joint. I paid the guy $150 cash added to my lunch bill and took it home that day. It was an old Lyon & Healey and had great potential.
Nope. After that experience I will never do that again. And that tuba looked a lot better than the one in this auction.
