Yes, and I'm glad the picture shows the complete fracture q, and it's helpful to know that there may be a tight gap involved, too.
It's also a coincidence that I sometimes rupture during transport.....

OK.
So it "ruptured" while being shipped to the seller.
The seller "fixed" it with glue.
Now he wants to ship it to you with no possibility of return.
Got it.

Why the shock? Caveat Emptor, or "As-Is," is the law, only modified if there is an agreed description or warranty, or in some circumstances latent defects. Wal-Mart has ruined the marketplace. Everybody expects to be able to return something for any reason or no reason at all. That's not how life operates, except at Wal-Mart and other places that are willing to take a business risk in the expectation of greater sales. In this particular circumstance, the seller disclosed the defect "as-is." Actually, this is one of the more straight-forward ebay listings I have seen in awhile. The fact that his asking price is too high, considering the lowered price of these tubas new elsewhere, is simply a bargaining position.Three Valves wrote:OK.

Take it or leave it. I do not care for red, so I'm leaving it.
