Can't hide from the "sold listings" on eBay though, Joe.bloke wrote:I snagged the one item in which I was the most interested.
Will I name that item here or even in a private message ?
No way.
I knew that Euphonium half-cover was destined for Tennessee.

I decided to go for one of those B&S thumb rings for the Piggy, which is newer and has a thin, adjustable ring that doesn't feel solid and is always popping loose.

Someone got a rotor and the tubing for a Hirsbrunner HB50. I didn't bid on it because of the unknown condition, but that was a pretty neat thing to see.

Good to know, thanks. It's supposed to be delivered today, so I'll install it this evening or tomorrow.ValveSlide wrote:And BTW, those thumb rings are all the real thing made in Germany by Jürgen Voigt. (There were also a couple of really early versions, too. Different ring, not as rounded any comfy, but period correct for the right tuba...)

I didn't know that there were two different sized 5th valves on the HB-50 - what are they?

As you say. And secure, not fragile feeling like the original. I'm very pleased with it.ValveSlide wrote:comfy
Some solder cleanup to do, but it's on and looks like it belongs there.

You mean the really old fat ones that were a partial circle? They are great.58mark wrote:I love the original Cerveny thumbrings. nothing else like them. I've been searching for one for 4 years
