They are -- I'm curious what the story is with the bell, it's not original.

No. And I don't think it's a CC either.

Now that I look closely at it, the circuitry for the third valve looks like the BBb version... maybe BBC made a mistake in their listing??

Maybe the shorter bell raised the pitch by a step?

Just to resolve the questions, It is a CC, and the bell is original (and it also has a recording bell). It was my main CC for a decade or so (and then I played a .687 bore King rotor CC). In case anyone tries it, I played C in the staff 2-3 to avoid lipping that pitch, and that worked very well.
For anyone thinking, "Oh, if only it was a BBb," BBC also has a sister horn in BBb, also with both bells.

I didn't recognize the 3rd valve wrap. Is this a .750" bore horn?

I looked closely at the tuba for sale, Dan's horn, and the original photos that King produced to market it, and there seem to be some interesting discrepancies between the tubas:
-The fourth valve circuitry doesn't have the 'curly cue' as the original picture does
-The main tuning slide seems lengthened
-The 3rd valve wrap matches the original photo, but Dan's horn doesn't
-Most strikingly, the main bugle of this one looks very different from both the catalog picture and Dan's horn, which have seemingly identical wraps
I would guess these differences are either that they were manufactured during different time periods, or maybe that the horn for sale was a custom order. Is it possible however that this horn was initially a BBb or designed from the BBb model, which is why the main bugle and some of the tuning slide layouts are different? I'd be interested to see the bore size of the one at BBC, and the length of the bell tenons of Dan's horn and the one at BBC, since the BBb version seems to be larger than the CC version. Or maybe I'm just over-analyzing all of this
Either way, it looks like a cool horn
