I know Miraphone has their piston series 1290 BBb and CC tubas, but this one looks nothing like 'em... for $1500 tho, it can't be a terrible deal
Interesting Miraphone BBb tuba

Re: Interesting Miraphone BBb tuba
4 days left, no bids, $1500 starting. It's a little bit bigger than an Olds 099-4, is in fair shape (bell has been dinged sometime), has a hard case. If the valves are in as good of condition as the rest of the horn, this could be good for a tubist who, for whatever reason, wants a horn that is a little bit smaller than a 4/4. The Horn Guys say nice things about this model so it might be worth a look.

Re: Interesting Miraphone BBb tuba
I bought this horn - I'm a trombonist who has just begun doubling and owns a 184CC from the 60's. My CC is awesome, awesome horn, but I suddenly have been asked to play a ton more euphonium (I should buy a lottery ticket, right?), and I really don't want to have to navigate the fingerings of both in real time. Since I haven't been asked to play tuba for money yet, I'm going to see if this horn fits me better and minimize the complications in my life.
It hasn't arrived yet, but here's to hoping it comes in one piece.
If I like it, I may have a 184 for sale soon, if anyone is interested....
