Looks like a baritone, but the mouthpiece looks like a trumpet.
Olds Ambassador, but I cannot make out teh S/N to date it. Looks great though. Given the gase pictures I'm thining '70s but still in great shape.

That's an Eb alto horn, AKA "peckhorn".

So that is a trumpet size mouthpiece?
Pitched above the Bb baritone, like the Eb bass is above the BBb contrabass?

Yes, between the baritone and the cornet. The MP shown is probably an alto horn MP, though a trumpet MP fits the alto horn I have (an old York upright bell/upright valves jobby). The real alto horn MPs are a lot like a trumpet, but a bit larger. Since these are often played by french horn players, they are also often played with a french horn MP and an adapter.

The mouthpiece looks like a trumpet mouthpiece, not an alto horn mouthpiece. All of the alto mouhtpieces I have seen have had shorter shanks than this. A trumpet mouthpiece will fit in the receiver, but won't sound right.
