That would make someone an excellent backup tuba. I play one of these in the orchestra far more than I would have liked to have admitted back when I first bought it on a lark. It is a fine tuba in every way except for some slide alignment. I will eventually get around to fixing the shortcomings, but they are not high on my list because the issues do not bother me all that much. The price is excellent, and Tom has leadpipes in stock or can get them in a reasonable amount of time. My only concern with this tuba is that maybe the bell wire might rattle, depending on how the bell was damaged.

Need a cheap backup 5 valved CC tuba squarely in the 4/4 size range? This is it.
In the multiverse there is a TubeNet where we talk about how we greased our cat with toothpaste and hot sauce so it would fly better in the rain. Even then someone would ask whether the cat was lacquered or silver plated.
