That's a giveaway, even with the missing mouthpiece. :)

I sent the seller an email. It's not too far from me.

Is the leadpipe where it's supposed to be? Looks awful ragged, and maybe an inch lower.

It doesn't even look like the leadpipe is attached to the first valve.

with a little fixing', that would be a great 'play in the pep band' horn. Lighter than a 20J but with sound as big. Fiberglass that won't dent.

Never heard anything back on it. I'm only an hour and a half from him

Nope. It sure doesn't. And it looks like a new one would be a good investment. An Allied generic one would be good for that tuba, but would cost about as much as the horn.
In the multiverse there is a TubeNet where we talk about how we greased our cat with toothpaste and hot sauce so it would fly better in the rain. Even then someone would ask whether the cat was lacquered or silver plated.

But this one doesn't have any automotive radiator hose clamps. What would Rick Denny's fiberglass Martin think?

Anyone here get this? I never heard back from the seller. Ugh, that's so annoying. If it sold, just a quick reply with "it sold" and taking it down off craigslist would help. Communication is key.

The seller is local to me. The seller replied back to me today. Since the seller got so many inquiries from people all over the United States, they are now being coy about whether they want to sell it for such a low price.
The seller said they might fix it and try to sell it for more… Whatever. They now realize they have a little more than a garage sale item. Thanks TubeNet.
