This is intriguing. What key? And evidently they might not ship to the United States. But if there are Tubenetters for whom this is convenient to follow up on, i sure am curious.

Sadly i am guilty of practicing my German even less than my tuba.

I mean.... Leider ist mein Deutch nicht sehr gut...

But i am not so bad at looking at pictures.

Very neat. Here's the description in English:

The tuba has a signature on the funnel: F. Pfaff Kaiserslautern whereby the F. is somewhat difficult to recognize. If you enlarge it, you can recognize it.

It is probably the manufacturer Franz Pfaff, who in 1873 took over the brass blowing factory from his brother Georg Michael Pfaff (Pfaff sewing machine Kaiserslautern).

Thus, the tuba would be very old and should have been built around 1880-1890.

Due to the high age the tuba has bumps and traces of use in some places. Look at the pictures that say more than 1000 words. It can be played, but two of the three knobs do not come back. This should work fine after a maintenance.

Thanks for the translation!

I got the gist of most of it, given my smattering, and the rather specific context. Entertianed by the translation of knobs turning... Completley missed the sewing machine!

And i bet there is a chance they are willing to ship stateside if i would only ask. Who knows. There is still time.
