I love the fact that it's a 3 banger. Way cool

22 inch bell. 5/4?

I'd think that is in 6/4 land. The York 6/4 BBbs had a 22" bell.

Not that it matters one way or another.

I sure wish I had the cash and enough points saved up with my wife...

The wrap of the valve cluster is identical to the wrap of my beloved 1929 Holton "Standard" (similar to York "33"). The wrap of the bugle is almost the same as mine. The serial number of the horn is about 100 numbers larger than mine. Maybe a bit pricey but not out of the ball-park as long as the valves are in good condition. These are lovely horns and good for quintet work.

Thank you, roweenie. The bugle looks to be same as the horn in Mr. Simonetti's collection. The wrap of the third valve appears to be slightly different (although difficult to be sure, due to photo quality). Did this bigger Holton also have 0.656" bore like the Standards?

Did anyone here pick up the beautiful old front action Holton mammoth?
