♻ - goes in recycling bin.
Seriously, most plastics can be repaired either by reactive (chemical) or thermal (heat or welder) means. It would help if we could find out the type of plastic used.
Hope that helps...

I'm thinking that the closest to a plastic tuba I would ever want to get is one of the Kings. Based mainly on Lawrence's videos. But I sure wouldn't trade my 1258 for one.

Great video, found another one where sousaphone player also plays drums at the same time, that's some skill.bigtubby wrote:I'm thinking that the closest to a plastic tuba I would ever want to get is one of the Kings. Based mainly on Lawrence's videos. But I sure wouldn't trade my 1258 for one.

Yeah, Doreen always gets the spotlight (I think Lawrence likes it that way) but IMO Lawrence is killer.sugawi wrote:Great video, found another one where sousaphone player also plays drums at the same time, that's some skill.bigtubby wrote:I'm thinking that the closest to a plastic tuba I would ever want to get is one of the Kings. An old video of Lawrence providing most of the tuba in this video of his mentor, the late, great Anthony "Tuba Fats" Lacen. Love his graceful recovery of a finger button starting around 4:25
