Is this a tornister tuba, in BBb, or a tornister baritone in Bb? More about these instruments here

You shouldn't have a problem bringing this one on an airplane. It would probably fit under the seat in front of you.

It is a baritone in Bb. Even without measurements, the valve slides give it away. The mouthpiece to bell measurement is given at 108 inches, or 9 feet. If it were a Bb tuba, it would be double the length at approximately 216 inches (548 cm) long.

Wow, so the Cerveny on rugs'n'relics has twice as much tubing, yet is only 1 inch longer!

Check out the number of bows on the picture of the Cerveny tuba - it is wrapped very tight - especially visible in the back picture. But, the author of rugs and relics does say it plays well in the low register. Guess they knew how to build 'em!
