Anybody missing a horn ?

I've already called this morning and the pawn shop said they will not ship the horn at all so just saving the rest of you some time.

Somebody bought it...

I was very close to pulling the trigger on this ome.. But I had my doubts. Could it have been a stolen horn? Maybe. I was skeptical because these are normally $6000ish used. But if it wasn't, somebody got a huge steal.. 1/6 of the typical used price. Very lucky! Could it be possible that they didn't know what they had when they got it? I would tend to believe that a pawn shop would do their research on things that come into the shop?

Correct me if I'm wrong: My understanding of Pawn shops is that they won't put a high markup just because they can but rather they base themselves on the price of the article was sold to them for.

So, if they person who sold them the horn did so for $500, listing for $999 (as it was originally posted) and doubling their money makes a lot of sense.

The old joke is that a guy walks into a pawn shop, contemplates a purchase, and asks the pawn broker the item's real value. The pawn broker replies that everything in his shop has doubled in value.

Pawn shop doubles their money. Tubenetter sextuples their money sometime in the near future in the "For Sale by Owner" section.
