I might be wrong about this, but looking at the tubing it appears to be an eb horn

The owner seems to know enough about tubas to not be making that mistake.

Notice the loop at the top bow, I haven't seen many Eb tubas with those.

Price seems a bit stiff for a woofed out looking old Eb tuba.

BBb, but does seem steep. If you wanted a minimum size like this, would that be pretty easy to scare up at lower cost? I wonder how this would sound next to a "travel tuba"; I wouldn't be surprised if it would be pretty easy to pick up a Chinese one used at similar cost, but this thing probably sounds better, doesn't it?

I was mistaken: insert mouthpiece; buzz with all valves open and the quartz tuner says D#, not Eb.

For future edification, this is what a small, 33" long BBb tuba looks like:

FWIW, if someone wants a tiny BBb tuba that actually plays well and sounds decent (for its size), several of these have come through my shop. They can often be had for far less than the Eb tuba in the original ebay listing. 12 pounds, decent little contrabass tuba.
