I'm beginning to wonder how often and how much those string attachments cost to fix at that store.

Imagines prior owner saying... "F-that, keep it!!"

OTOH that is probably a really sweet horn and strings can be almost completely silent and smooth.

I'm glad that it's closer to Philly than it is to Pittsburgh or I would probably be making a road trip.

If it was over $2000 I'd say no, but it's from a time that cerveny was making some great horns, so considering the condition and vintage, yeah it's a good price

What's the good era for Cervenys?
Also how does a Sear Cerveny differ from a plain old Cerveny, if at all? I've heard he worked on "alloys" but not sure if that is myth or not.

Anything with that style of finger spatula. I'm pretty sure they are just stencil versions of regular cerveny. he was importing them and putting his own name on them because they weren't very well known here in the United States
