10 J's have a great sound for their size.

It might play pretty well without even the dent ball work. Stuff you can't see is what I'd be worried about, but that's always true for ebay horns, and for $350, wouldn't be awful worried. I see same outfit has a 4V big Reynolds with an upright bell, for close to $1K, also looks like a "fire sale" on a high school band room instrument.

Agreed 10J's are excellent small horns. I bought one on eBay a few years ago for $200 and the ad said it was unplayable but everything seemed to be there. When it arrived I saw it had is fair share of dents but It played great as is! I made a recording of it playing a duet I wrote. Here it is. Sweet little horns!

I bought the 4V Reynolds. Well see what its like when it gets here. Didn't look horrible in the pics. Plan on rolling out the dents whit my dentball set and going from there. have been wanting one of those old stovepipes for a long time but most i found were beat to #$%@. If anyone is looking I have a couple of cleaned up 10J's I have a couple on the Ft. Myers FL Craigslist. Not beautiful but play well.
