I thought that might have been that old Reynolds that I had, but I didn't see that patch in the bell that mine took from that bullet that went through it.
I'm just crazy about dementia.

But my old horn really did look a lot like this one and it did have a bullet hole sized patch in the bell. It played very well for it's condition too.

OK, so it sounds like you weren't on hand, and wouldn't know whether the bullet was fired in an expression of music criticism.

Well at least he has a reasonable price tag on it, not that I would pay $60 for it. I sometimes think about finding one of these in decent condition for a parade horn.

Maybe it was part of the music? It is percussive, after all.

I always been a fan of Spike Jones and his City Slickers...

Thanks for pointing this out. Seller says it was a practice horn, and i can always use more practice...

not bragging, but - if the slides aren't horribly stuck...and the valves are OK...

I could have it looking quite decent in a hour...and no...do NOT send it to me.
