Kind of ugly, but maybe a good deal. I actually have a forward facing bell on a shelf that could fit this. Tempted.

It's a bid auction, not BIN. If you are lucky, you might get it for close to $1k. Plus $187 for shipping.

That horn actually looks pretty good to me. Look in the 20J and you will find beat up horns there.

For the current price... it's well worth the money. Heck.... the bell is worth $500 minimum.

It went for $1425 plus $187 for shipping. Not a bad price for a 2341.

I was the one who purchased this tuba. I intend to use it as my main axe, potentially replacing my Besson Brevete 221 (can't decide yet, I've heard the bell tenons are the same size... and I just HAVE to try swapping bells)

Congrats!
I have the same model (and similar condition). I really enjoy it.
One improvement I made to it was to have a water key added right on that 90 degree bend coming off the 4th valve. Water loves to accumulate there then if you set it on the bell and lift it up again, it all moves to the next loop which also doesn't have a spit valve. So you have to give it another spin to get it to the loop with the slide/water key in it.
Now I just lean the horn forward and I can depress the 4th valve and push the water key with one hand. Works like a charm.
Enjoy your new horn!

If anyone wants another shot at a great deal on a great horn, the seller just listed another one in similar condition:
