Not my horn.
Eb Champion Helicon. 3v. Interesting wrap.
Anyone brought one of these Champion (or similar Ditson, Lyon and Healy) back to life?
How’s the sound pitch and tuning?
I don’t have specs but recall fairly small bore, small tuba receiver.
Eb 3 valve could be workable as is. Looks like room for 4th.

Re: Helicon Eb EBay Anyone brought one back to life?
I have one that I play at Tuba Christmas. Mine is a "Chicago Silver Piston." Lyon and Healy I believe, though I have seen other stencils that are identical looking.
Eb. It takes a euro sized (British) baritone shank mouthpiece. The mouthpiece from my Besson 2-20 baritone fit it. With all the slides pulled, it "pretty much" plays in tune, good enough for the first part in tuba Christmas. Small horn, but eye-catching. I paid about that price for it.
