Very interesting and unusual - I've never seen a raincatcher York sousaphone.

The bell collar set-up is also unlike any York I've ever seen. I wonder if it had been a custom job when it was manufactured?

York & Sons sold a model 85 (brass) & 86 (silver) raincatcher Sousaphone from at least 1905-1916 with a 19 1/2" bell.

Very 8)

The thing that I find unusual is the bell collar set-up...it looks nothing like any other York product I've seen (or owned) from that period.

Do you have a catalog image you can share here?
