Re: Albuquerque CL: Miraphone "Standard"
I have the 3v model and it plays OK. A fourth valve should help on the bottom end but, considering that thus would be considered a "student model" I'm not sure having the extra valve makes much of a difference. The design details- pull rings, ferrules, braces and guards, are really well made and it is a quality horn. It's been buffed kind of funny, it seems. Price? It isn't in the 186 class of horn but the price is so I'd question the value. But, to each his own.

I had one many years ago that I got in trade somehow. I had it gone over professionally and it never played well enough for public performance. I sold it for about $300 and I thought that was high considering.
