Interesting reference. Harold Stassen once owned the house across the street from me when I lived in South St. Paul. My Aunt, who also lived on the block, knew him well. She ran into him in a department store taking his wife shopping, wearing a rug. She asked him why he still wore a toupee, his reply was, "my wife likes it." He resigned as Governor in MN to fight in WWII.
