I have a feeling which number they'll quote regardless of which horn you ask about....$600 to 2300

Re: Chicago CL: Several Horns
I don't think it is- the 24J's have the 4th tuning slide loop to the right of the MTS, and the 4th wrap that follows the top bow curve. That 4th valve tubing is absent, therefore I believe it's just a 20J.Heavy_Metal wrote:The Conn looks like a 24J.................

Re: Chicago CL: Several Horns
The text mentions Jupiter and Eastman. Has one of them made a 1240? 186?
The detachable bell 1240 types appear to have both bells, assuming the stuff on top of the cabinet is included.

The seller's name is Marco Rodriquez, I've bought a horn from him. He lives in Elgin. He's trustworthy and packs horns for shipping really well! He's also on Facebook and usually takes offers for stuff. He told me he gets horns from school auctions, not sure if that's true or not. I have no affiliation with him, YMMV.

I noticed it appeared the bells had been swapped on the two King tubas.
