King Cadet 1247 Sousaphone

Post by oscarcahue »

Sharing this more so just to share this rarity.
I didn't see any Tubenet posts on the King 1247 so I thought I'd add.

The seller was confused as to what it was. He claimed it was smaller than the 1250 yet not as small as the Cleveland Jr. And had a 22" bell.

After looking at online, I let him know it was a King Cadet #1247. I hadn't seen one before. Must not be many of these. To me its hard to tell the difference from a 1250, you'd have to measure the bows to find out. The bell would be the give away & maybe that slide ring?

Being sold in TJ, MX. He does ship through greyhound from San Diego. He's asking ~$2700.

The flyer does say it had a 22" bell.
