Anyone have any experience with this model. It looks like a BBb to me. What do you think? It also looks like it would need a new leadpipe and cleanup, at least.
I know a fellow who is looking for an "inexpensive" 3/4 BBb for his middle school band in a religious school. He says he does have access to a repair tech with whom he has a good history.
I have owned a 186 and a 183, both rotaries, which I have liked a lot, but I have never even seen an upright like this one.

I regular play on a 186. I have tried this model before. I don't remember the model number. It is basically a 3/4, middle school-type tuba. It is probably worth the present selling price.

I originally thought this was an Eb horn but there is another listing for a similar horn and the seller says it's a BBb.

Thanks for the info.
The second horn for sale mentioned by Dan has better pictures and clearly shows two full branches like a BBb.
Since my friend says he has access to a reliable repair person, I think I'll turn him on to these. These are not likely to be great instruments (I think) but, with a little clean up, might be fine for a middle school band.

Hmmm.... when you were in high school I would have thought all they had would have been Eb tubas

Not even close, Dan! When Joe was in high school, the bass section was made up of these:
