My hosting provider just did some changes and it may have been for the worse. Let me look into it some more.

I have dial-up, and the BBS is very fast today. A few days ago, when things were VERY slow, I assumed it was my computer.

I've noticed slow loading as well. Seems like it started yesterday or possibly two days ago. I thought it was the "Do you want to load Macromedia Flash plug in?" question that was slowing things down. Because I think the plug-in actually starts loading (temp files) before we say no. Could be mistaken though. <shrug>
