Are we just SOL?
I guess you are if you can't think of the revolutionionary idea of posting a new thread with the new price...
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

And then we have ten ads for the same horn, over and over. This is a poorly thought out plan.
It actually played out like a knee-jerk reaction to one person, leaving the rest of us to suffer.
The replies to this thread remind me of the thread Sean started when the "new TubeNet" went online. We got used to that, and we'll get used to this too. Maybe, this will lead to more well crafted for sale ads. Maybe it will lead to less post in those ads that are not nessesary because they can't be edited (wait a min.. Sorry. Even I know that'll never happen ).

Ha, but how many Joe Tubaplayers come on here just to sell something? Not likely they'll read this thread in the Feedback forum and then it's "OH MAN THIS SITE IS CUH-RAZUH!"!
Perhaps this new feature could be made adhesive-like in the For Sale forum?

And to think that just the other day, someone told me you weren't an extremely generous person. I'm totally overwhelmed. Well, maybe I'm just whelmed. Again, I am not too sure.

OK. To clarify: Thank you, Sean.
Thank you, Sean...
...for Tubenet. But please put the edit button back on the For Sale forum.
This new policy isn't working. It's a reaction to one person's inability to work inside the system. Quoting the ORIGINAL AD in a message preserved it if it was such a big deal. Now we have even more clutter than before. For gods sake please undo this thing, and no it's not just another issue of "getting used to it". It plain doesn't work.
I don't want to dig through pages of posts to see if the something has been updated that's not in the original, I already spend too much time on here as it is.
The first bloke needs to get used to it. Why is the rest of the community suffering?
EDIT: Now I can't mark items that were on hold before as for sale again!

My plan was actually to assemble a team of the best minds and bodies TubeNet has to offer and made a super-secret infiltration of the top-secret and highly-guarded TubeNet server room. From there, we would install a very discrete server worm (It attacks five key server components, so I call it the "Jackson 5") which will remove the lock on editting posts in the For Sale section!
I really don't think its as big of a deal as some of you are making it. Its his site, he can do whatever he wants. And I think if you really want it back, there are probably more productive ways of trying to get it back than what is happening in this thread. Are you trying to convince him to give it back, or trying to piss him off?
I'm thinking of an old adage about attracting flies with honey instead of vinegar?
