I started in high school around 1997-98. Took a year away and came back to the new board. Haven't left for more than a few weeks since.

Wow...I had never thought about it....but I started in high school, I guess either 1999 or 2000. I've been posting occasionally, mostly staying under the radar, but reading frequently, ever since.

I found TubeNet about two and a half years ago after I at last got my own home PC. I found it just through a Google search on "Tuba".
TubeNet has been a real eye opener for me! Before that, like most tubists in the UK, I had little knowledge of tubas beyond the Besson 3+1 models which are so ubiquitous around here. I am certainly glad I have now discovered CC tubas and front valves - so much better

Hmmm...
5 years. Do I vote 2-5 or 5-8?

I think it's 8. Seems like it was early '99. But maybe it was late '99--I forget now. It was about the time my involvement in bicycle and triathlon forums started to wane.

I've been on here a really long time.
Trolled for quite a while. Spoke up during the Cox episode, checked it about once a week for several years, and check it several times a day now.
I find it addicting. Plus this version of the tubenet lets you meet "the characters" on here a lot better than the previous.
Guys like Doc, Chuck, and some other guys keep the forum lively. Guys like Denney keep it consistent and from getting too crazy.
I think it would be nice if people went by their real names on here. It would seem to cut down on some of the craziness and the constant kingbaritonegod like chatter.
