How about a "poll of the week" which could be posted each Monday. Poll topics could be sent in by forum members. Funny or serious topics.
A link to the poll could be on the main page, instead of cluttering up the board with a separate forum.
The Online Trombone Journal has a weekly poll that is entertaining.
