How can I get rid of this? I don't even know what it is supposed to mean! I looked under my profile, but I didn't see an option to delete this...

I would like to change my nickname...

I read the post further down the page, so I was wondering Sean, if you could just imput my real name, Mark Preece, as my nickname? Thanks!

Just post enough messages (10 I think) and you will become a bugler and it will be moot.

By the way, what other mouthpieces have you tried with your 983? I was contemplating trying a Dillon Sheridan, but was looking at the S1. Have you tried that vs. the S3 that you are using? I was just going to wait until the next time I got to New Jersey with my tuba, but that may be a while.

Dillon-Sheridan Mouthpieces

Hi there,

I have tried all the sheridan mouthpieces, and for me the S3 suites me best. I has a little more shallow cup, and I get more of a Euphonium sound with it when I play high, which is what I want. I am a true fan of gold mouthpieces because: it is a softer metal, so it is more comfortable. It is a warmer metal, and it is also more slippery than silver, and I like the freedom of being able to change embouchures smoothly.

I would recommend the S3, and if you are going to Jersey, get Matt Walters to gold plate it for you when you buy. You woun't be able to take it with you the same day, but it will save you time in the long run when you decide to get gold later!

Hope this helps!

Mark...???

It looks like we may need to give you a short tutorial on TubeNet. I'm certain there are others on the board who would be happy to do so. I don't have time right now.
