Old personal correspondence - where to find it?

Just sent a PM and found out, that some important personal correspondence is not in the current storage. It is an ongoing discussion of tuba matters with a guy, whom I only know from here. And of course I cannot remember his screen name.

Any methods to retrieve that correspondence?

Interesting...all my old PMs made the transition just fine. Could the message(s) you're looking for possibly still be in the "Outbox" (sent but as yet unread)?
