I still see them.
Maybe all the sponsors have you down as a "foe."
Is it *me*, or is it TubeNet...??

If you use Firefox, you might have AdBlock installed-- handy little app that automatically removes ad scripts from web sites. If not... no idea. Kind of a shot in the dark, but I figure it's worth mentioning.

I use Firefox AdBlock, and I've not lost any of the upper-right-corner ads.
That is, until now. Right now, while writing this message, the upper-right-corner sponsor ad is being blocked by AdBlock. To my memory, this is the first time those particular ads have been blocked.

Really? Mine has blocked them all along. We must be using different ad lists.

Yeah, and after that one experience, they are all back now.timdicarlo wrote:Really? Mine has blocked them all along. We must be using different ad lists.

My IE7 settings allow the sponsor ads at the top and the semi-random Amazon record ad. All the Google border ads are blocked.

This is one of the few sites that I allow ads through. Sean needs our help financing the site, so I exempt it from AdBlock. Plus the ads here occasionally end up being useful and informative.

I just now discovered that little down-arrow in the upper right corner beneath the red ABP Adblock Plus logo in Firefox 3.05 that lets me allow the ads! I've been going to IE for browsing on TubeNet because I didn't want Sean to lose the ad revenue. I much prefer Firefox.

I would do the same if I didn't spend so much time limited by dialup. Too many of those ads include flash and other content that takes forever to download. And the Google server often loses track of what it's sending when metered down to dialup speeds, and the ad download just hangs.GC wrote:This is one of the few sites that I allow ads through.
