what do you think guys and gals ? If its for sale, put a price on it and stop this "make me an offer " stuff , or " email me if serious ". I might be serious if the price is right but I wouldnt know that unless I waste my time and someone elses ...As previously mentioned, there are those in this forum who are truly motivated to sell , and then there are those that are looking to profiteer . If it's an auction you want, then go to ebay with it ....just my two cents , it's Friday and I am tired and cranky.... :(

This topic comes up a lot. My personal response is always the same. It's a free market, and those who choose to post prices are simply giving themselves one competitive advantage over those who do not.

Those who choose not to post prices have their reasons, and simply live with the consequences.

A "set price" is more of an American culture phenomenon. Throughout history, the bargain-and-sale has been the norm. It is not necessarily an efficient way to conduct commerce, but it is a thorough method. The bargain-and-sale, combined with cavaet emptor, is a much better method for the single item or not-now-produced item than is the "price it and have an open return policy" that stores such as WalMart have.

bloke, you're an all-American guy. That is how the vast majority of American men do retail. One glance at the product, one glance at the asking price, then the brain quickly does an initial analysis as to whether subjectively it's worth looking into further.

All I'm saying is in the grand scheme of the world and the history of commercial trade, that is the minority approach.

If we weren't good enough (though having never met in person) friends to give each other big bear hugs when we eventually DO meet in person, I wouldn't feel comfortable using your post as a springboard for further clarification.

:D
OK, It's my turn to buy the beer.

Make, model, tuning, price, location...
all in the subject line or at the top somewhere would suit me best.
Some ads do not give the pertinent info anywhere but are long ramblings.

How much for the little girl? The women? How much for the women? Your women. I want to buy your women. The little girl, your daughters. Sell them to me. Sell me your children!
