Sometimes when a topic gets a little contentious and belabored the "Powers That Be" will cut it off by locking the topic.
It's easy for message boards such as TubeNet to get bogged down with dead end discussions. Locking topics encourages posters to move along to something else.

Let us know if you find any locked threads that seem to be about the tuba, playing the tuba, etc.

What I want to know is how all this talk of spoons passed the watchful eyes of the moderators.

Wasn’t that spoon talk all about hyped price expectations for used tuba stuff?

Just to make sure I understand correctly...
You want people to stand up and take notice of bad behavior posted on the internet and then take an active role in quelling it?
Fascinating. Best of luck with that. I suppose, at least, a PM to a moderator is sufficiently hidden enough to keep one from being flamed for "giving a fig."

Todd, I believe Schlepp's comment was more in the spirit of us being a community here, and we users are a sort of neighborhood watch who can alert the law if something is going on that shouldn't be. I, for one, appreciate the (free) work that the mods do here and notify them occasionally of various things that look off.
The intent is not to keep the entire internet running cordially, just this (our) tiny little corner of it.

Well, as for THIS moderator... if I wish to continue eating and buying tubas....
Wow, eating tubas!? So that's how you got so dang big. I wonder if that's Bob's secret, too.
