In this particular question the answer is that you need to resize the avatar image to the proper width dimmensions for the side screen using an image editing program such as Photoshop and then store it on your own hosting service as opposed to using the storage here.

I have noticed that you are having a problem with an image you are trying to use in your posts which goes back to a basic tenet of html code.

Images are different than complete web pages and have different end tags to differentiate them. For example you appear to be trying to show an image of a model Hirsbrunner 488 Eb but you have inserted a web page address not an image address in your postings.

Notice that you listed http://www.hirsbrunner.com/lang/engl/in ... s_488.html when you should have did a properties search at that page and found the image location which is actually http://www.hirsbrunner.com/lang/engl/in ... _gross.JPG

Properly done it would look like this....

Assuming you have MS-Windows, you can resize the image for your avatar with 'paintbrush'. You don't need any additional software. Just go to the 'stretch/skew' function on the pull-down menu and put in the appropriate dimensions.
