Posting - length of time given.

Post by 2ba4t »

I was in the middle of a posting and wanted to research a point. It took 5 minutes but by the time was back I had been logged out of tubanet and lost it. :( I presume i should always save a draft before leaving.

I highlight what I have posted and paste it over to a temporary file, as in a word processing or note taking app. Then I can go back, cut and paste the text I have typed into the thread, and continue on. I learned this the hard way a few years ago when I had a particularly long winded comment that evaporated into cyberspace.

A similar thing happens when interrupted in the process of going through "View New Posts." When you return, the list of topics shrinks to posts from only the last few minutes.
