That's OK if you have a place to park the image. In that case you can do it yourself if you really want to - try this (it's an overly large thumbnail, but what could I do, the tuba is so big)

If on the other hand you don't have a place to host your own images, you may have been using the attachment option for exactly that.

"It's easy when you know how" - which is the often the computer interface definition of "difficult", but anyway - I select the image from page of images, so it's displayed by itself at its normal resolution. Then I use my browser's "Copy Image Address" option (which in my case is, position the mouse cursor over the image, depress the <control> button, select that option from the menu.*) That's the link to the photo, in two fairly obvious steps. It might be different if my photos were gigantic, but I always reduce them from the somewhat absurd camera size.
So far I'm not seeing anything that they do for $4 a month that cubeupload doesn't do for free
Photobucket was free, too, wasn't it? Good luck!

(* Browser details may change in the near future, depending on the outcome of surgery on my Macbook Pro. The replacement keyboard is here, now I need to completely disassemble the device to install it.)
