Wagons East! (Trip Complete)

Post by Will »

After 5 months in sunny Southern California I'm returning to my homeland of Virginia. My route will take me up I-15 through Nevada and Utah; jump on I-70 through Denver, Kansas, and St. Louis; and then Take I-64 home. With my friend taking part in the driving duties I plan on making this trip in 3 days easy. I know the short stops along the way like the world's largest thermometer and the largest ball of twine, but are there any lesser known, but worth-while stops along the way? I leave Saturday morning and hope to roll into VA monday evening.

Well we made it safe and sound. Over 2600 miles and 11 states in just 43 hours, counting about 4 hours of wasted time. A cool experience but definitely the last time I spend 2 whole days driving non-stop in the car.

But now the real question: What type of car?

The car was a 2006 Camry. Not bad at all. As for stops, nothing we witnessed was worth bragging about. Utah was amazing. I had only seen landscape like that in the movies. It was definitely the highlight of the entire (short) trip.
