Waayyy off topic... timpani question

Post by Dan Schultz »

I have acquired a pair of timpani. One is 29" and the other is 25". They have steel bowls and rolled angle iron hoops. There are no logos or brand names anywhere. Aside from being very heavy and about bullet proof, they almost appear to be 'home made'. If anyone has an inkling what they might be drop me an email and I'll send a picture.

I haven't found any markings of any kind anywhere on the tympani. The pedals appear to be cast aluminum. Some of the hardware might also be aluminum but these things are VERY heavy and made almost entirely of steel. Send your email address to dschultz@evansville.net and I'll send you a picture.

Hey! Haven't I seen you before?
Yep!... even work on bicycles, mowers, and antique car parts now and then. Put a new SuperDisk drive in a old Panasonic digital camera last week. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.
