Small Town America Observes Christmas

Post by Brassdad »

Was home for Christmas in southern Ohio.
The courthouse was decorated as usual.

I remember the lights from when I was in 2nd grade (1966).
They were made in the 40's and hung up annually until the mid 80's when it was stated that due to maintenance and age they were being retired.

They reappeared in 2000 as a commerative event after some one did a restoration.

They were a big hit with the folks who remembered them from before and with most of the kids who saw them for the first time.

It's been 6 years now, and if anyone has complained, the city isn't listening....

...and for that I'm glad....

Merry Christmas!

New Breed, Old Breed! It doesn't matter so long as it's the Marine Breed!
