But how are the false tones? :P
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Bob1062 wrote:Actually, I have a bag sorta like that (actually-ier, 2! one I bought and one I took from my brother!). I don't like the way it smacks against my legs/back/.... when I walk and they are sorta small.
BUT, it does help me "blend in fashionably" in Chicago, since every "individual schmuck" here has one! :P
Which is probably a good thing, as I need all the "help" I can get!

I used to carry around a "Roman Meal" burlap bag my ex-wife won in a contest and gave to me for a birthday present when we were going through our divorce. I also wore very casual clothes (polo shirts and jeans with L.L. Bean boat shoes and a baseball cap). I wore this for the lessons I give on my own at students' homes.

One evening, I was told what a terrible teacher I am. I knew it wasn't true, but I knew something had to be done.

First thing, I got my hair cut really short. I kept my beard, but trimmed it short, too.

Next, I got out my old briefcase I used to use when I attempted being a life insurance agent a few years ago. I made sure it looked neat.

Then I changed my wardrobe. I wore only long sleeved dress shirts, long ties, pleated trousers, and expensive Italian dress shoes (I brought them from home).

When I went back to the home where they were ready to can me, I got a $10.00 an hour raise.

Looks count.

Go here:

http://www.howiesharnesses.com/catalog/ ... filter_id=

Howie can make you anything you want. Any size, shape, color. Ballistic nylon construction.

I have been using one of his packs for years.

It has been in many caves, to the Colorado River at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, to Harney Peak and on numerous other hikes, and shows no signs of wear. It can be worn as a backback, an underarm side pack, a belly /chest pack, or a fanny pack, depending on how I attach the straps.
