Want to know if this computer setup will work.

Post by tubaribonephone »

So my power supply went out about 3 weeks ago. Hoping that was all that went out, I bought a new one. Here's the link:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817182006

Once that was installed and I turned it on, I discovered that the old power supply had fried the motherboard. Now I'm looking for a new motherboard. After looking around, I finally settled on this set up.

Motherboard/VGA combo:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813186067
Manufacture site for the Mobo:
http://www.foxconnchannel.com/EN%2DUS/p ... -gb0000152

CPU:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... No=3438551

Memory (yes I know it's old and crappy....):
128MB DDR and 512 DDR - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820141173

I'm trying to save money and keep the memory. I only use the computer for pretty basic functions and am not looking for something fancy. All I would like help on is knowing if this set up will work.

Please let me know! Thanks so much!

There's better options, but if you're looking to go really cheap, that's probably as good as it gets.

I do have an old Pentium 2 700mhz machine here if you want that. I'd sell it to you really cheap! 8)
Thanks! Umm... I'll pass on that Pentium 2, thanks though! lol!
