There is, or was, one at DePaul but I think it's restricted to students in the School of Music. There's also a group of professional trombonists called the CTA (Chicago Trombone Authority), which rehearses at a church in Mt. Prospect and performs occasional concerts in the area. Most of the other TCs you hear around here are one-shot deals scraped together for a special event. SFAIK, there is no Moravian congregation around here - Moravian churches often sponsor trombone choirs and much of the choir lit. comes from this church.

Alex is right about the CTA. There are some amazing musicians in the group and some really nice folks as well. I played with them for a while last year but couldn't keep it up with the Northshore Band on my plate as well as my day gig.
