Appalachian State is a D-IAA school in NC. They 3-peated in football:the elephant wrote:Not all of us follow sports or even know when some sports are played. So with your post worded the way it is, the question ought to be, "Are YOU serious?"ASUTuba06 wrote:the elephant wrote:Are we talking about golf or something like that?

And what exactly is an App. State? Is that the state of a particular computer application at some given point in time? I have never heard of this App. State.

hm.....well I was at the game. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Yes, the fans stormed the field big deal and they stayed off the field until the game was over. Yes they covered the side line and the goal post came automatically down after the game. They had security around them while they took them away. We did stand by out team. Armanti Edwards and some of the other team came over to conduct the band and after the win we surrounded our team. Even though we had been there 2 other times we had an amazing season no other team has won 3 straight national championships or beat a FBS team. So, I don't think the celebration was over the top I just think it was a bunch of college kids supporting their school and team.

As a GIANT Ohio State fan (I know got our butts kicked two years in a row and maybe we can do a poll to see if it will happen three times in a row?), I cannot say how great it felt to see Ap. State beat Michigan in "The Big House". On the other hand, give Michigan credit for coming back and then beating Florida in a bowl game:

As for the fans, I saw nothing but a great game. To me, it was one of the more memorable of the bowls from last season.

Yea, props to Michigan for beating an overrated team with a mediocre quarterback that only got the Heisman because of bs stats. A Heisman quarterback shouldn't have more than a loss or two the entire season.. I'm sorry but that's my opinion. McFadden is a way better athlete.
